The Baltic Industrial Park is one of the largest commercial locations in the State of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. As a result of numerous relocations, the Industrial Park has dynamically evolved in recent years. The nine companies at the location appreciate the favourable transport links in the Hamburg Metropolitan Region with the important port of Hamburg and its global operations. The marketing of the commercial properties available is directly undertaken by the State Capital Schwerin. The Baltic Industrial Park is fully developed.

Babenkoppel I, Schwerin Wüstmark

Babenkoppel I is an important developed zone in the southern part of the city, directly by Federal Highway 321. The good transport links are a plus for the location. Recent years have seen modernisation investments and consolidations. At the current time, new companies are establishing themselves in the available commercial sites. Further development areas are available. Babenkoppel I is owned by the State Capital Schwerin.

"Am Fährweg" Business Park, Schwerin Wüstmark

The "Am Fährweg" Business Park has made a name for itself as a location for small and medium-sized companies (SMEs). It also lies in the southern part of the city, directly adjacent to the old Schwerin-Süd commercial location in close proximity to the Schwerin Industrial Park. A total of 17 companies occupy over 20 hectares of the business park. The B 321 federal highway directly borders the location and ensures fast connection to the A 24 (to Hamburg and Berlin) and the A 14 (to Wismar) motorways. All the plots are developed with electricity, gas, drinking water and wastewater. There are basically no restrictions on specific industries. Commercial sites are available.

"Am Haselholz" Technology and Business Park

At the Schwerin location of the Schwerin/Wismar e.V. (TGZ) Technology and Commercial Centre, there is a total of 8,900 square metres of modern office space available in the office and service buildings. Favourable conditions are offered to technology-oriented and innovative companies. Six companies have so far established themselves (with their own investments) in the 1st phase of construction in the Technology and Business Park. A further 6 hectares of fully developed commercial property are available to innovative companies in the 2nd construction phase.

Görries Commercial Site

The Görries Commercial Site scores points with the excellent transport links, the relatively small-scale occupancy structure and the good functional mix. A special feature here is the rail link. In recent years, modernisation investments and consolidations have primarily featured in the commercial property available.

The demand for further development areas in Görries has remained high. As a result of the "Zeppelinstraße" B-Plan, an enlargement area comprising approx. 6 hectares will create an additional utilisation possibility in the future.

Lankow - Verkehrshof Industrial Site

The Lankow Industrial Site is located in the northwestern part of Schwerin, approx. 3.5 km from the city centre. In 2002, the State Capital Schwerin acquired the site of the former truck yards with the aim of providing commercial properties to investors. Not all the building plots have been sold yet, as the full development of this site has not so far been possible.
